A game that is hard to play

I heard this story a while back on RadioLab, and found it really moving. Now seeing the video, it is even more so. I think my favorite line from her talk is "When your heart breaks, it heals differently." I think this captures what it means to grow and learn from suffering, and to make yourself a better person.

  1. This is vert extraordinary. They made something awful, their child dying into something beautiful. This family has so much joy. I thought it was smart that their video game is telling people what cancer it's actually like, that cancer is making hard decisions that will change your life. They made a video game that was hard to play.

  2. This message was very powerful. They turned something that most people dwell on, into something positive. They took their sadness and put it into something for everybody to play. Watching this video makes me want to download the game and play it.

  3. I thought this was very great. This is because they took a bad thing into something that was beautiful. I like how they did make it into a video game which helped them cope with the grief.

  4. I think this gave a great message they turned something so horrible their child dying and turned it into something impactful. Everyone copes differently with pain and some people go with anger but instead they made a game to inspire others and make a big impact on people. I can't even imagine what they are going through but they turned it into an opportunity to help people sort of understand you can't fully understand what they went through. I like how she used the story that she told how people say cancer is not a game but when you have little ones you have to make it as much fun as possible because thats how kids learn.
