Creative Thinkers

I love his message, and I totally identify with him as a fellow precrastinator. I also love how he used the graphics from the procrastination TED talk - see post below.

  1. This is a great talk as well. I never really thought about how waiting and procrastinating can actually help you be more creative. I would think it would be opposite, but I can totally see that now. The cool thing is, I bounce back and forth between getting things done really early, and getting things done right before the deadline. I haven't really noticed a difference in my creativity, but I will definitely pay closer attention next time.

  2. This is definitely me. I do my best and most creative work after I have procrastinated until the last possible moment. But during my procrastination periods, I honestly do run through things in my mind of ideas for how to do the task. I will now embrace my ability to procrastinate and be creative even more. Even though it may be a problem at times, I will try my best to use it to the best of my abilities without letting it hinder me in the long run.

    1. Remember, there is a sweet spot - don't put it off too long. Also, see this post ( http://sharpbonus.blogspot.com/2015/03/embrace-shake.html ) about limits and creativity - I think it is another way of saying the same thing.

  3. The more I procrastinate, the more I think when I have to rush, I have to push forward, and my brain works faster, the more I procrastinate, my brain pushes, and the more I think actually, my procrastination at time, well, is that it can be crushing and pushing on me, and that actually forces me to do better, that feeling though makes me work faster, so, I'll use my procrastination efficiently, in the future.
