Power to the people

Wow! These two girls really took to heart what they learned and were willing to go the extra mile to change their world, and therefore the entire world as well. Their story is truly inspiring and goes to show what a difference anyone can make.

  1. It's amazing how a single concrete idea, and a brainstorming session can become an international movement, how thoughts, how concerns turned into action, into action that changed their island, other islands, and select places everywhere, what these two have achieved is amazing, and someday, I wish that I may be able to solve one of the large issues that our society faces today.

  3. I think these to girls are very inspiring. They teach us kids that we can do anything if we set our minds to it. I love how they brainstormed to find there idea of how they were going to change there island. It is crazy to think that these two girls have changed such a big issue on there island, and I believe on day a student at Hampton might solve a big issue in our country.

  4. I find it amazing that these girls started when they were twelve. When I was that age I never even thought about things like that because I guess I just didn't know enough. I do believe that we need more people like them that want to make a difference and they are going to better the place they live as a result. Plus we don't need plastic bags so why do we have them. I never liked the fact of having something if its completely unneeded. I think what they are doing is great and should inspire others to do something that will better a situation where they live.

  5. These girls are amazing. They showed great commitment to how they want to change their island. They were so young, and yet they made a great change. We should strive to be more like them so we can make changes in the world as well.

  6. These girls want to make changes. They take their commitment to a new level. They are as young and me and yet they still made changes. It just shows that anyone can make a change no matter who you are or how old you are. It is important to make changes!

  7. I like how she said it used to be beautiful and now it is full of trash. I like how they said they wanted to make a difference now and not wait until they were older so they put together ideas and came up with plastic bags because trash was affecting the oceans even. I don't think we realize how much we hurt the earth. The saying out of sight out of mind if we don't see what ere doing to our earth we don't know how we are effecting and damaging it. We do this with all types of things these days I'm glad we have people out in the world like these girls who can help this Earth. It's really inspiring to motivate kids to get out there and help our planet and the people that live on it.
