You are what you like?

My favorite line from this is Facebook users are not the customer but the product. Very interesting questions posed here. And yes, I like curly fries.

  1. Thats crazy to think that there are businesses that can sell your information. I hear that this "app and that app" sells your information all the time. But to have a businesses where a person can become a billionaire for doing that is scary. I understand that if your smart you have smart friends and etc. When one person likes something Facebook usually shows others friends too.

  2. That is creepy yet cool that stores like target can predict things about you just by what you buy. It is cool that they can do it but creepy to think how much stores like walmart and target know about me.

  3. I think that's it's kind of insane to think that there are scientist you can predict your age, religion, etc just by looking at the pages you like. I mean, no one really knows how much they are putting out there. Just by liking a page it could tell people you didn't even think about. The target story really interested me. Just the fact that Target could tell that the girl was pregnant before she even told her parents. Just by looking at what she bought in the past. That is crazy.

  4. I think that it is a good thing and also a bad thing at the same time. Like for some cases its alright that other people can find that stuff out about you. But there are always those creepy people out there that dont use it for what its used for.

  5. This scares me, and fascinates me at the same time. I think it's cool how they want to improve the way people use the internet, but at the same time they see a lot of private information in the process.
