Where Time Comes From

The science behind this blows my mind.  The most amazing part is when he talks about how 2 clocks 3 meters apart can be measurably different because of the effect of gravity.  I also liked that he gives a nod to the philosophy of time, which can be pretty mind blowing as well.  He can give a definition for a  second, but not one for time itself.  Very cool.

  2. It was interesting how he said that if we could make time more accurate, then we could solve many of our problems.

  3. It was a pretty interesting video. Jus how he was saying that even if time is off by a nanosecond it throws off all of the GPS satalites by 2 to 3 feet. So if for some reason you wanted to know exactly down to the inch where someting was the clocks would have to be exactly right.

  4. Time is such an integrated part of our lives. We are always afraid of being late, or setting schedules for ourselves based upon time. The topic of time is so vast and interesting. I could watch that video two or three times and probably still not comprehend everything. It was interesting how he described the different clocks and how they were able to tell time using hundreds of clocks.
