We still can't beat nature

Just watched this interesting TED Talk.  It starts slow, but hang with it.  He really sets up his case, but what an amazing conclusion.  It just goes to show that often times we need to mimic nature, not improve on it.  I can't believe that we haven't heard more about this from livestock producers. It might catch on yet. . .

  1. Wow. This is a really great video. I never would have thought that livestock could save the land. It just never crossed my mind. I wonder why livestock producers haven't made a big stink about this, because they could probably get a good deal of money, and thanks from many different people.

  2. This is really interesting. It reminded me of a video I watched about global warming, and how vastly the world is changing. It makes me wonder, what else could lead to jurassic changes in the environment?

  3. This is a really great video i didn't know that the livestock could help and save our land.I would think that livestock raisers would be upset about this and would try and change the way its done.

  4. This was a really interesting. I didn't think that livestock could save our land. But why haven't the people who raise livestock try to make a big deal out of this and change things.

  5. This is great. I look forward to sharing the video with others in the Ag Industry. Those of you that are in FFA, this would be a great speech topic for next year. Its never too early to think about ideas for a speech.

  6. Wow this was definitely and eye opener. It just goes to show that even when we try we cannot do better than nature. I think that if we can spread this idea to the world more we have a real chance at reducing the climate changes and maybe reversing them also.

  7. Oh my, this is really long. He would be a better speaker if he had some emotion. But over all it was very educational. I think the fact that they killed a bunch of elephants, and it didn't help at all is really sad. I didn't know that desertification has demolished some civilizations or that its such a big thing.
